The Gaia's Steeds are fancy horses based on the beauty of nature surrounding us, most the colors and patterns of butterflies for this first phase. Their finesse, intelligence and high head carriage makes the perfect horse for dressage. They are often added to collections in royal stables around the world for their unparalleled but, giving the impression of living jewels for their keepers. Their vivacity and courage have also made them popular war horses during the troubled times in our history, making them appear in more neutral and dark colors in order to better camouflage and blend in with their environment.

To have a foal you must obviously have two horses of the opposite sex, and you must also make a breeding image. This must be a minimum of a portrait (headshot) of the parents, however, the more effort is put into the image, the more you get bonuses during reproduction for rare genes such as Midas or getting new colors.

In order to breed your Gaia's Steed, you need to send the group a note documenting who's being bred. To make these easier for the mods, please use the format below and title the note Breeding: Username. Please only do one breeding pair per note so we can more easily roll the results for you.

Points System
Points systems are really common in closed breeds all over deviantArt, we know, this system is completely optional for you to participate in, but if you participate you can earn imports. This means that your hard work drawing your horses will be paying off in the long run!
You earn points when you include any Gaia's Steed in an art form. Poems, sculpture, paint, writing, etc. The horse doesn’t have to be yours, it can be from someone else as long they are okay with it. Pay attention to rules and/or personalities people give to their horse when you include it in your art. If it's a commission, the artist gets full points
